ANZAC essay competition – and the winners are…

The Whaingaroa Raglan Writers World (WRWW) program would like to thank all the teachers and students from Raglan Area, Te Uku and Waitetuna Schools for participating in the recent ANZAC competition for 2024 held at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre.

Everyone is a winner for participating but there was some outstanding entries which we would like to acknowledge – certificates and prizes were awarded to:

Keep an eye out for future writing and poetry children’s workshops being planned as part of future Whaingaroa Raglan Writers World program of events. 

Our next WRWW program opens Tuesday 28th May with the gallery book shop featuring books for sale from local authors, a writing support group and readers’ book group. Plus a weekend workshop over Kings Birthday weekend 1-3 June, ‘Come Together’, featuring NZ authors Tracey Slaughter, Ben Bloom, Dr Siobhan Harvey, and additional workshops from local authors Tina Shaw and Ann Neville.
