Bowling Club update

June 23, 2023

We had a really sweet moment at our bowling club AGM on Sunday 18 June.  It was prize-giving and the club’s coach Terry Green (left) stood up and spoke about why he chose Maureen (Maws) Wahanga.

Maws (Maureen) Wahanga has been bowling many years and while the ‘Most Improved’ award is often given to a new-to-bowling bowler, in her case coach Terry Green recognised a consistent improvement and a great season. Maws represented Raglan Bowling Club at the Bowls Waikato centre Champ of Champ Women’s singles and dispatched many more high profile bowlers to go through to the final.  As runner-up in the Waikato we are all extremely proud of her.
