Fresh new things at ISO

February 9, 2023

We caught up with the team at Iso to hear about how they have changed it up this summer and why you should head there to experience their new stylish lounge space and top notch hospitality.

What is new and fresh at Iso this month?

In the last couple of months we are proud to have achieved so much. The first massive change has been the creation of the lounge, an area built with the idea of giving the customer the opportunity to enjoy the Raglan vibe in an intimate and relaxed place, while being amused by exquisite food and refreshing drinks.

Secondly we have a new summer menu using local ingredients (Raglan artisan bread, locally grown avocados and garlic) The chef and kitchen staff have researched extensively in order to find the right mix of flavours for the summer. The result is a fusion menu with typical kiwi dishes mixed with recipes from all over the globe.

We suggest trying our fresh special cocktail, the passion caipirinha, a summer fruity drink made with lime, cachaça and passion fruit.

Who is new to the team and what do they bring?

We’ve got some new faces in our team. To start we have Caleb, new in Iso but well known in town. His passion for this job is contagious, the accuracy of his job is remarkable and is easy to deduce when you taste his dishes. He has has created great work opportunities for a team of local school kids.

In the front of house we have our new joyful GM Leti and her partner Rodri. Leti is friendly, dynamic and able to combine a great work attitude with a permanent smile.

What is appealing about the new menu?

There is a variety of light, fresh dishes and summer flavours. Everything is made from scratch on site.

Iso was recently refurbished to include new intimate spaces. How how has it functioned this summer?

This summer people are dazzled by the cozy beauty of the new space. They choose it specially to enjoy our special cocktails, a good coffee or even to throw some dance moves on our dj nights.

Can you book a private function?

We love hosting large groups and private events as we have a large tropical outdoor area with an open fire adjoining the restaurant.

We can host up to 200 people.

Tell us about weekly regular gigs on offer and what people should head there for?

At the moment we have regular gigs on Thursdays and Fridays.

People can come for dinner or come along to be delighted by a cocktail or a local brewed beer at the lounge. That can lead on to enjoying a great dj’s intimate session, meeting locals and travellers and sharing great vibes on Thursdays. Or enjoy a relaxed dinner on Fridays with our local upcoming band “ Salty Jam”.

We’ll have new gigs soon! Stay tuned.
