Te Mata School students take part in Rippa World Cup

December 12, 2022

On Tuesday, November 29, a group of Year 5 and 6 girls from Te Mata School took part in a Rippa World Cup Festival in Hamilton, run by Waikato Women’s Rugby.

Teams from different schools were assigned countries and encouraged to dress up in their Flag colours – Te Mata were Fiji.  The girls had the chance to meet 2 Black Ferns, Awhina Tangen-Wainohu and Kennedy Simon and play against them too.  It was a fun day of sportsmanship, music and getting outside and giving it a go.  Go team Fiji!
