Community Waananga/workshop hosted by Taurikura – having a voice and why it matters in local democracy.

Taurikura NZ are rolling out a series of community waananga throughout Waikato District to support communities to understand the importance of local government ahead of the October 8th 2022 local body elections. Their strategic vision is: Knowledgeable and engaged communities participating enthusiastically in local democracy.

These interactive waananga will provide information and resources about what local government is, as well as an opportunity to discuss with your neighbours the issues that matter for Raglan and how Councils impact the everyday lives of whaanau and communities.

Everyone is welcome this Sunday 19th June!
Time: 1030 – 130pm, kai provided
Venue: Hui Room, Raglan Holiday Park Papahua
