Myrle Robertson Shootout

May 9, 2024

Like in the Westerns of old as the two gnarly gunslingers eye balled each other with guns at the ready for the final SHOOTOUT, Pete Aim and Charlie Young gripped their golf clubs ready for the final hit out on the 18 tenth green!

Two shots rang out and when the divots had cleared, Charlie was the winner!!

The field for the Myrle Robertson started with 16 club wielding players all bent on being the last man or woman standing, and winning the prestigious Myrle Robertson Trophy. At each hole a player was dropped out of contention having had the worst gross score or losing in a playoff! The field after 14 holes came down to two players!

With a BBQ to follow the tournament and lots of (what if) banter this annual competition in memory of Myrle was held in great spirit.

Myrle was a club stalwart for many years, dedicating her time and administrative skills to the Raglan Golf Club.

Thanks Myrle.

off the tee…..Pete Aim.
